Company Background

Accessible Events was founded by Harry Jones, an accessibility consultant with lived experience of disability and a professional background spanning event operations, post-graduate education, media, and advocacy.

Through her work in both education and live events, Harry developed a detailed understanding of the structural and practical barriers disabled people face in public spaces. As conversations around inclusion progressed across the sector, including the growth of the Attitude is Everything (AiE) Live Events Access Charter, she recognised a persistent gap: while frameworks and commitments were strengthening at policy level, there were too few experienced professionals ready to deliver those standards operationally on the ground.

Event organisers were signing up to meaningful accessibility pledges, but translating charter principles into working queue systems, accreditation processes, sensory provision, staffing structures, and customer journey design required specialist knowledge and hands-on delivery experience. That implementation gap became the catalyst for Accessible Events.

Established to bridge strategy and practice, Accessible Events provides operationally grounded accessibility consultancy for festivals, corporate events, and large-scale public activations. The company supports organisers from early planning through to live delivery, ensuring that accessibility is embedded, resourced, and executable in real time, not treated as an afterthought.

Harry has represented disability organisations in national media and continues to contribute to sector-wide conversations around accountability and access standards. Accessible Events reflects that commitment: combining lived experience, technical expertise, and on-the-ground event delivery to turn accessibility policy into practical reality.
